How do I request a public screening?

It's very simple and fast! The first step is to register on the platform. A person or a company can host a screening via Videocamp. You should then choose a movie and see if it meets all your needs: if it is available for download (if you do not have a stable Internet connection at the place of the screening), if the audio language and the subtitle language correspond with what you need etc. All good? Then just click the "Organize a screening" button, fill out the form that will pop up, and then follow the step-by-step to watch the movie. Some movies have Guiding Material, useful for post-show conversations. Oh, and all the infos of your screening are available on your platform profile.

How and when will I have access to the film I picked for my public screening?

Don’t worry, 72 hours before your screening you will receive an email with all the instructions and a link to the film you picked. Didn’t get an email? Stay calm, the same information will also be available on your Videocamp account.

I can’t access or play the video. What do I do?

This happens sometimes. The important thing is to check the possible causes. These are the possibilities:

1. Unstable internet connection
Before you hold the screening, we recommend you check the internet connection available in the space. If the connection works well, you probably won’t have problems, but if it is unstable it is normal for the video to load slowly or to “stutter.” If that’s the case, we recommend you choose a film that offers the option to download. This way you can download the film ahead of time, without having to depend on the location’s internet connection.

2. Automatic password generator
All the films on Videocamp are made available through Vimeo, and in order to access them you must type in a password. Attention: this password is random and automatically generated, available always at the top of your profile page. To avoid problems, don’t forget to test your access to the video before the screening.

I cannot find the movie link for the public screening I've scheduled. What should I do?

Access your account with your registered user and password. In the menu at the top right of the screen, click "My Screenings". There you will find all the screenings you have scheduled. Click on the green icon "Access movie" of the screening you want. Please note that access to the movie is only available 72 hours before the date of the screening, okay? Estou com problemas para assistir ao filme. O que eu faço?

1. Internet instável

Antes de agendar uma sessão, recomendamos que você verifique a internet disponível no local onde ela vai acontecer. Se a conexão funcionar bem, provavelmente não haverá problemas; mas caso ela esteja instável, é normal o vídeo demorar para começar ou “travar”. Se esse for o caso, recomendamos que escolha um filme disponível para baixar. Assim, você pode acessar e checar o arquivo do filme antes, sem depender da conexão do local. Essa informação está na página de cada filme, logo abaixo do título. 

 2. Mensagem "Permissão negada"

Isso acontece pois o seu período de acesso à obra já expirou (esse período é de 3 dias antes e 2 dias depois da data da sua sessão). Para resolver essa questão, basta remarcar a sessão da seguinte forma: conecte-se à plataforma, passe o cursor do mouse no ícone do seu perfil, no canto superior direito, e clique em "Minhas sessões" para encontrar a sessão que você deseja remarcar. Uma aba com o andamento da sua sessão será aberta e a alteração poderá ser feita por meio do botão "Alterar dados da sessão". Feita a alteração no formulário, não se esqueça de clicar em "Enviar". How can I download the movie?

If you've already scheduled the screening of a movie that is available for download, you can download it by following the instructions below. It is worth noting that access to the movie is only possible 72 hours before the date of its screening. Enter your profile by clicking on your photo in the upper right corner of the Videocamp homepage. Then click "My Views". When the movie is available for access, the platform will present you with a group of information where there is also the "Access movie" button. This button will direct you to the download page. You should follow the step-by-step instructions on this page to download the file to your computer.

The screening location does not have internet access. Is it still possible to hold the screening?

The decision to make the film available for download is up to the film’s rights holder. That is, the film may not be available for download. This information is provided at the top of the screening request form. If the film is available for download, access it with the password provided to you and click on the "Download" button on the lower left corner.

I need the film to be made available sooner than scheduled (72 hours before the screening date). Is this possible?

Write to info@videocamp.com explaining your situation. The Videocamp team will work out a solution with you.

I need to change the date of the public screening I scheduled. How can I do this?

Log into your account, click on 'My screenings,' edit the screening you wish to change and make the necessary alterations. If you are unable to change it, write to info@videocamp.com informing us of the new date. The Videocamp team will make the necessary alterations.

I need to cancel the public screening I scheduled. How do I do this?

Write to info@videocamp.com informing us of the cancellation of your screening.

How can I tell if the movie is available for download?

On the page of the movie selected, below the field of available languages, you can see if the movie is available for download. It is worth saying that this is a decision of the director of the work and not of Videocamp.

I clicked on the "Download"’ button and it’s not working. What do I do?

It’s possible that you can’t perform the action when you click on the "Download" button due to your browser settings. There are two possibilities:

1. If nothing happened when you clicked, pass your mouse over the video and click on "Vimeo". A new tab will open on your browser. The download button will be available on the lower right corner of this page. You have four file options, from the smallest to the largest. Choose the file most appropriate to your screening.

2. If you were directed to a new page where the film will load, use your mouse’s right button to download.
